Average Total (Median) Weekly Resident Earnings

Resident earnings reflect the average earnings where people live; they may commute and work in different areas. Because of this commuting, residents’ earnings are a reflection of the skills of people in an area, rather than the employment in an area. This figure incorporates both average full time and part time earnings. Devon has a higher proportion than the national average of part time employees, which tends to subdue total average earnings.
