Enterprise Density - Active Stock per 1,000 Working Age Population (Aged 16-64)

Active enterprise stock per 1,000 of the working age population provides an enterprise density figure. Areas with a large proportion of small businesses tend to have higher density rates. In Devon these are often rural areas where larger employers can be scarce.
